Mindfulness & Movement Flow
Somatic movement and mindfulness workshops for people who work from home, sit too much, and move too little. No dance experience needed.
MindMoveFlow is designed for people who spend their day at a desk. You don't need to be a dancer, flexible, or "good at movement."
You manage a team that works from home or at desks. You want a wellbeing initiative that's practical, gentle, and actually gets used. Not another app that people forget to open.

Enquire about this programmeEvery MindMoveFlow session follows a simple, four-part arc. No choreography to learn. No equipment to buy. Just gentle, guided movement that helps you notice what your body needs.
We start by settling in. A few breaths, a moment to notice how you're feeling right now — no judgement, just observation.
Gentle, guided movements — joint mobilisation, spine rolls, upper and lower body flows. All doable at your desk, seated or standing.
Between movements, we pause. What changed? Where is there ease? Where is there still tension? This is where the mindfulness lives.
We close by returning to the breath and the body. A moment of stillness before you go back to your day — calmer, more present, more you.
Reset attention and nervous system regulation.
Through somatic self-regulation — using body-based movements and touch to calm the nervous system — this session helps participants shift out of mental overload and into the body. Research shows that body awareness is significantly linked to work performance. Participants arrive distracted, tense, and in their heads. They leave more present, more alert, and more regulated.
Release desk tension and restore joint mobility.
Joint by joint, the body opens through circular, wave-like movement — the kind your body craves after hours at a desk. These movement patterns are consistent with current research on autonomic nervous system regulation, promoting a state of safety and social engagement. Participants release stiffness in the neck, shoulders, spine, and hips without forcing or straining.
Rebuild focus through autonomous, self-directed movement.
Participants are given a simple menu of movements and invited to choose — eyes closed, following their body's own signals. This is where something shifts. Research shows mind-body interventions outperform physical exercise alone for reducing stress and burnout. By Session 3, participants are no longer following instructions — they're listening to their own bodies, many for the first time.
Integrate body and mind for lasting cognitive benefit.
The final session removes all guidance. The body moves on its own — or stays still, which is equally valid. This is where the practice becomes self-sustaining. Research shows mindfulness-based programmes in the workplace produce benefits that persist at three-month follow-up. By Session 4, your team hasn't just had a wellbeing session — they've built a practice they can return to on their own.
Each session builds on the last. By Session 4, the body is leading — and the mind is following. That's the practice.
Real feedback from people who've experienced a MindMoveFlow session.
I'm Maryane Exelby, a somatic movement and mindfulness facilitator with 10+ years of experience. I founded MindMoveFlow to help people who sit too much and move too little discover what their body can do when they give it attention.
My approach is informed by somatic practice — movement that starts from within, not from copying shapes. I trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (MA Creative Practice) and Manchester Metropolitan University (BA Dance, First Class). I deliver sessions in English and Portuguese.
I believe the body is our most underused resource. Not in a gym-and-reps way, but in a gentle, curious, noticing way. The kind of movement that makes you feel more like yourself, not less.
